Tripadvisor comments Khwai Guest House

We stayed here as the lodge we were due to stay in was full. The camp is at the lower level budget wise but the game drives and guides are top - especially Ninja! We saw a leopard on the morning drive. The rooms are small but clean and the „outside“ shower is decorated with lots of originality. The meals are set menus but were always good and delicious. You eat at a communal table which might not be to everyone‘s liking but it‘s a great way to meet new interesting people. Go on the mokoro trip - it‘s animal and bird viewing from a completely new angle and so very peaceful.

We stayed 2 nights here and really enjoyed everything about it. It is not a luxury lodge, but the rooms are comfortable and clean and the food although quite basic is more than acceptable. The absolute highlight though are the game drives. We did 2 drives with Jeremy as our guide. He asked what we particularly wanted to see, to which I replied, the cats and wild dogs. He didn't disappoint us. On the night drive Jeremy found a mother leopard with her cub, as well as 2 wild cats and a hyena with cubs. The next morning we found a pack of wild dogs and later we saw a huge herd of elephants. Fantastic. We definitely hope to return in the not too distant future.
